Massive Beef Chuck Recall in 9 States Over Contamination Concerns

The US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service has recalled 3,436 pounds of boneless beef chuck product due to possible contamination with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli. The product was packaged on February 16, 2023, and bears the establishment number "EST. M-19549 inside the USDA mark of inspection. The beef was shipped to distributors, federal establishments, retail locations, and wholesale locations in nine states. Symptoms of infection include diarrhea (often bloody) and vomiting, and anyone who has eaten the contaminated beef and developed symptoms should contact their health specialist immediately.
