After successfully negotiating contract deals with General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis following a historic strike, the UAW is now targeting nonunion automakers such as Toyota, Honda, and Tesla. Workers at Honda, Hyundai, and Volkswagen plants claim they have faced harassment, surveillance, and confiscation of pro-union materials. Fain aims to expand the UAW's reach and negotiate with the "Big Five or Big Six" automakers in 2028.
