Trump unveils pact to shield Americans from rising data-center energy bills

President Trump will announce at the EPA headquarters a coalition—the Ratepayer Protection Pledge—aimed at preventing data centers from passing their electricity costs onto consumers. The pledge has expanded from a signature list including Microsoft, Google, Amazon, OpenAI, xAI and Oracle to 23 Republican governors and other stakeholders, with White House officials saying around 200 signatories have joined.
