Blue Origin Overcomes Delay and Successfully Launches New Shepard Rocket

Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket successfully launched after a 15-month suspension, carrying science experiments and postcards from students. The rocket reached microgravity, allowing payloads to experience several minutes of weightlessness before the booster and capsule made soft landings in the desert. This mission marks New Shepard's 24th flight and 13th payload mission, bringing the total number of payloads flown to space to over 150. The previous launch failure in September 2022 prompted a year-long FAA investigation and required 21 corrective actions. With this successful mission, Blue Origin can continue its space tourism program, taking paying customers past the boundary between Earth's atmosphere and outer space.
