BMW 7-Series Facelift Signals a Brand-Wide Neue Klasse Makeover

BMW's 7-Series facelift introduces Neue Klasse tech with a new electrical architecture and 112.5 kWh cylindrical cells, adds Panoramic iDrive with a 17.9-inch central display and a standard 14.6-inch front passenger screen, plus a 31.3-inch rear Theater Screen with Zoom/HDMI. The i7 gains over 350 miles of range and 250 kW charging; driver assist shifts to Level 2 (dropping Level 3). The update is framed as a blueprint to extend Neue Klasse thinking to older models like the 5-Series, with production starting July 2026 in Dingolfing, early 2027 for the 750e xDrive PHEV, and a future M Performance model after launch.
