Denza Z electric supercar racks up 1,000+ pre-orders in five days

BYD’s Denza Z, the luxury electric supercar built on the e3 platform, combines three motors for 1,582 hp and razor‑sharp 0–62 mph times (as quick as 1.96 seconds in the Racing variant) across Coupe, Spider, and Racing models. It uses an 800V architecture with a 76 kWh Blade Battery 2.0 and can recharge from 10% to 97% in about 9 minutes; WLTP ranges are 410 km for the Coupe, 400 km for the Spider, and 380 km for the Racing. Pre-orders opened in the UK (£142,900) and China (680,000 RMB) and have surpassed 1,000 in five days as BYD expands Denza globally, with deliveries expected by year‑end and this EV positioned as a faster alternative to the Porsche 911 Turbo S.
