GM brake-by-wire failures trigger broader federal safety probe

Federal safety investigators have widened a probe into GM vehicles after hundreds of reports of brake failures tied to the company’s brake-by-wire system, eBoost. The issue could affect more than 1.1 million cars, including the Cadillac Lyriq and a range of GM, Honda, and Acura models.
