Winter Storm Causes Flight Cancellations and Delays at Multiple Airports

Late winter weather in the Northeast U.S. has caused over 1,100 flight cancellations and more than 4,300 delays. Airlines have responded by offering waivers to affected travelers, allowing them to rebook or cancel their flights without extra fees or fare differences for a set number of days. The Department of Transportation has dashboards to help travelers understand their entitlements in the event of a canceled or delayed flight. Several airlines, including American, Delta, United, Southwest, JetBlue, Spirit, and Frontier, are offering waivers for flights on March 14 or 15 at select Northeast U.S. airports.
