NBCUniversal Consolidates UCP and UIS Into Universal Global Television

NBCUniversal is merging UCP and Universal International Studios into a new Universal Global Television (UGT) led by Beatrice Springborn, with Erin Underhill and Toby Gorman in key posts; the restructure cuts six UCP/UIS roles and 22 more across USG, NBC and Peacock as part of a Versant-related realignment. UGT will also oversee Carnival Films, Working Title Television and Heyday Television, unifying development and production for U.S. and U.K. markets, though no full merger of all scripted units is planned.
