The CW Implements New Layoffs Amid Restructuring

The CW is undergoing another round of layoffs, with more than 15 people affected, including mid- and high-level executives in marketing/promotion and finance. The cuts come amid uncertainty over the network's programming direction, which is expected to shift away from high-end scripted series to unscripted shows, news, and sports. Parent company Nexstar Media has promised to make The CW profitable by 2025 and is revamping the network's programming slate. Only flagship drama All American has been renewed for next season so far.
