Writers Guild Schedules Crucial Negotiations with Studios and Streamers

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Hollywood studios and streamers have scheduled a new negotiation session for August 11th, following an exploratory meeting on August 4th. The WGA is expecting responses from the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) regarding their proposals. The strike, now in its 101st day, has caused a shutdown of unionized, scripted production in the US and abroad, impacting projects such as Deadpool 3 and Gladiator 2.
