Quixote scales back LA soundstage footprint, trims staff
Hudson Pacific Properties is winding down most Quixote soundstage operations in Los Angeles and exiting Georgia and New Mexico, laying off about 70 employees across Atlanta and LA as production demand slows after a streaming-era boom. Quixote’s fleet and on-site services remain active, with Griffith Park Studios staying open for an existing tenant. The company expects roughly $21 million to $27 million in annual savings by relocating equipment to LA and New York and refocusing on core assets, amid a broader retrenchment of Hollywood’s production infrastructure.
