Lucas Museum Opens with Star-Studded Gala in LA

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles debuts with an 11-acre campus featuring galleries, two theaters, a library, a restaurant, a café, a store and community spaces, ahead of a public opening on Sept. 22. The collection spans 40,000 pieces across illustration, murals, comics, children’s book art, science-fiction imagery and cinematic posters, with documentaries about artists and filmmakers. Opening night drew Oprah Winfrey, Laura Dern, Mark Hamill, Greta Gerwig, Guillermo Del Toro, Spike Lee and other stars.
