Samara Weaving Cast as Emma Frost in Marvel’s New X‑Men Film

Deadline reports Samara Weaving has been chosen to portray Emma Frost in Marvel Studios’ upcoming X‑Men movie. After a round of auditions, director Jake Schreier and Kevin Feige approved Weaving for the role. Frost, a telepathic mutant who first appeared in 1980s comics, has previously been played by January Jones in X‑Men: First Class and Days of Future Past. The project moves forward as Marvel builds its mutant team post‑Disney/Fox deal, with Schreier directing and Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo writing; Weaving also has a busy 2026 with projects like Ready or Not 2.
