Snyder’s Long-Development Thriller Debuts at TIFF as Acquisition Target

Zack Snyder’s indie thriller The Last Photograph will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival as an acquisition title, with a Sept. 12 screening at the John Bassett Theatre in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Starring Stuart Martin and Fra Free, the South American jungle-set drama follows an ex-DEA operative seeking revenge after his relatives are missing, aided by a washed-up war photographer; the project has been in development since the mid-2000s with writers Kurt Johnstad and Snyder, but no studio or streamer has yet acquired the rights.
