The family of Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer who was killed on the set of Rust, plans to sue Alec Baldwin after prosecutors dropped criminal charges against him. Baldwin's attorneys have called the planned lawsuit "misguided." The focus is now on Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who still faces two counts of involuntary manslaughter. Production on Rust resumed last week, with one stipulation being that Hutchins' widower, Matthew, becomes a named executive producer. The production will not re-film the church scene that had been underway when the shooting occurred.
