‘We Were Liars’ Adaptation Promises Binge-Worthy YA Thriller
TL;DR
Amazon's adaptation of 'We Were Liars' is a tepid YA drama that ultimately fails to engage, despite a shocking twist in its finale. The series is criticized for its thin character development, overused themes of wealth and disillusionment, and a climax that strains credulity, leaving viewers more baffled than moved.
