TL;DR

SNL's first nonbinary cast member, Molly Kearney, gave a moving speech on "Weekend Update" about the anti-trans legislation being pushed by congressional Republicans, which restricts healthcare for trans kids. Kearney emphasized that if people don't care about trans kids' lives, it means they don't care about kids' lives. Kearney's parting message was that their job is to protect trans kids, and their job is to focus on being a kid.
