The CDC has warned that at least 128 pregnant women and 25 young children received the wrong R.S.V. vaccinations this winter, with pregnant women mistakenly given the Arexvy vaccine and young children under 2 receiving a vaccination not approved for their age group. Concerns have been raised about the potential effects of the wrong vaccine, particularly for young children, and the CDC has recommended that these children also be given nirsevimab to provide immune protection during the R.S.V. season.
