Scientists Test Digestion Time by Swallowing Lego Heads

Six scientists swallowed Lego figure heads to find out how long it takes to poop them out. The study, titled "Everything is awesome: Don't forget the Lego," used two scoring systems: Stool Hardness and Transit (SHAT) and Found and Retrieved Time (FART). The FART score averaged 1.71 days, meaning the Lego head was typically out of the body in under two days. The study aimed to reassure parents that accidentally ingesting a Lego head usually has no complications and that no parent should be expected to search through their child's feces to prove object retrieval.
