Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed a new Ebola outbreak in Congo’s remote Ituri province, reporting 246 suspected cases and 65 deaths so far; four deaths are lab-confirmed and preliminary tests detected Ebola in 13 of 20 samples, with cases centered in Mongwalu and Rwampara and suspected cases in Bunia, far eastern Congo near Uganda; Ituri outbreak follows the end of a previous outbreak about five months ago.
