"Upstate NY Eclipse Hotspots: Albany and Adirondacks Ready for Viewing"
TL;DR
Upstate New York, including Niagara Falls and the Adirondacks, has been named among the best places to see the 2024 total solar eclipse, with NASA planning to stream live coverage from these locations. While Niagara Falls is expected to draw about 1 million spectators, the Adirondacks may offer a quieter experience for the estimated 100,000 visitors. Despite concerns about New York's unpredictable weather, the Weather Prediction Center suggests that Upstate may provide some of the clearest skies along the eclipse path in the United States.
