DeSantis vs. Disney: The Battle Continues

The board appointed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to oversee Walt Disney Co.’s central Florida theme parks moved closer to invalidating an agreement that gave the entertainment giant authority over its Florida properties. The board asked lawyers to prepare a move that would invalidate the agreement between the Central Florida board that had been controlled by Disney and the company. The DeSantis administration learned about the agreement in March and then scrambled to respond. The fight against Disney and DeSantis began nearly a year ago after Disney opposed the Parental Rights in Education bill.
