Disney's Battle with DeSantis Won't Stop Florida Investment Plans

Disney has opposed the disqualification of the judge overseeing its lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his appointees. Attorneys for DeSantis and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District had asked Chief U.S. District Judge Mark Walker to disqualify himself, citing comments he made in unrelated legal matters about the state retaliating against Disney. However, Disney's lawyers argued that Walker's remarks didn't meet the high standards for judges to be disqualified. The lawsuit alleges that retribution orchestrated by the governor has economically harmed the company and violated its constitutional rights.
