Sudan's capital hit by deadly airstrike hours before ceasefire agreement.

An airstrike in Sudan's capital, Khartoum, killed 17 people, including five children, just hours before the US and Saudi Arabia announced a 72-hour ceasefire between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The RSF accused the SAF of the attack, which destroyed at least 25 houses in the Yarmouk district. The ceasefire aims to allow the unimpeded movement of humanitarian aid and the repair of vital infrastructure. The conflict has killed over 3,000 people and displaced 1.67 million since April, with reports of atrocities committed by RSF fighters and their allied militias.
