"1993 Missing Man's Remains Identified on Indiana Serial Killer's Estate"

Remains found on the Indiana estate of serial killer Herbert Baumeister have been identified as those of Manuel Resendez, who went missing in 1993. Baumeister, who killed himself in 1996, was suspected of luring men to his home and killing them. The investigation, which began in 1996, has led to the recovery of approximately 10,000 charred bones and bone fragments on his estate. Authorities believe the remains could represent at least 25 people and have asked relatives of young men who vanished between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s to submit DNA samples for identification.
