"81-Year-Old Ohio Man Fatally Shoots Uber Driver Amid Scam Call Incident"

An 81-year-old Ohio man has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting an Uber driver, Loletha Hall, who had been unknowingly involved in a scam call targeting the man. Both the man and the driver had received scam calls, with the man being threatened to pay $12,000 to release an incarcerated relative. The same caller or an accomplice then hired Hall to pick up a package from the man's residence. The man allegedly held Hall at gunpoint, demanded to know the callers' identities, and shot her multiple times when she tried to leave. The man pleaded not guilty and bail was set at $200,000, while police are still searching for the scam callers.
