Albion Mother Charged with Attempted Murder of Children, Rescued by Police

A Michigan woman has been charged with attempted murder and child abuse after allegedly attacking her children with a knife. Her 15-year-old daughter wrestled the knife away and called 911, prompting officers to rescue a 2-year-old girl from being drowned. The woman was hospitalized under suspicion of drinking cleaning fluid before being jailed. The girl sustained knife wounds to the chest and neck and was hospitalized along with her 4-year-old brother. The accused has been ordered to undergo a mental health assessment and may not have any contact with the children. Neighbors are collecting clothing, food, and other necessities for the kids.
