FBI investigates ex-Navy officer for spreading classified information on pro-Russian social media account.

The FBI and Navy are investigating a pro-Russia social media account called Donbass Devushka, which reposted photos of apparently classified US intelligence related to Russia’s war in Ukraine. Sarah Bils, a former Navy officer, confirmed that she was one of multiple administrators of the account, but said she did not repost the classified information and had no connection to the leaks. The FBI spoke with Bils and the bureau knows “I had nothing to do with those leaks.” The investigation arose after the photos of classified documents were first shared months ago in a private chatroom on another social media site, Discord.
