Former police chief's remains identified in Illinois storage unit

Human remains found in a storage unit in Illinois have been identified as those of former Maquon police chief Richard R. Young. Marcy Oglesby, a woman from Maquon, has been charged with first-degree murder and concealing the death of a person in the case. DNA samples from the decomposed remains were compared to samples from Young's relatives. Oglesby claimed that the smell was from an opossum that had previously died in the unit, but eventually admitted that there was a body inside a large box she had previously refused to open for police.
