Madison police-involved shooting ends in man’s death on Baldwin–Williamson streets

A man in his 30s died after a confrontation with Madison police in the Marquette neighborhood, during which he allegedly produced a large knife; an officer was injured, a Taser failed to stop the encounter, and another officer fired, with the man later dying at a hospital. Four officers were on scene and placed on administrative leave as the DOJ investigates the incident.
