"Parents Found Passed Out Drunk on Florida Beach, Leaving Children Unattended"

A Georgia couple was arrested on child neglect charges in Daytona Beach, Florida after being found passed out on the beach with empty alcohol containers while their 5 and 7-year-old children were left unsupervised swimming in the hotel pool. The man, not the biological father of the children, was also charged with possession of alcohol on the beach and escape after attempting to run away while handcuffed. Both parents were taken to jail but later released on bond, with the children being taken into custody by the maternal grandfather.
