Stepbrother Taken into Federal Custody in Anna Kepner Murder Case

Timothy Hudson, 16, the stepbrother of Anna Kepner, was ordered into federal custody and transported to a Tampa courthouse to face murder charges connected to Kepner's death aboard the Carnival Horizon in international waters. After months of disputes over his pretrial release, a federal judge ordered detention; he had previously been allowed to remain under strict release conditions with electronic monitoring. Hudson has pleaded not guilty as the case proceeds in federal court.
