Swollen-faced suspect arrested after Wichita golf-course brawl with club used as weapon

A Winfield man, Scott Denning, 52, was jailed after a Friday-night brawl at the Arthur B. Sim Golf Course in Wichita. He allegedly chased three men with a golf club following an apology for an errant shot, and struck one of the Wichita men in the head, leaving another unconscious and others injured. Denning faces multiple charges including aggravated assault, aggravated battery, assault and battery, and criminal damage to property; he posted a $50,000 bond and remains in Sedgwick County Jail as investigators continue.
