Tragedy Strikes Alabama Teen Party, Community Rallies to Support Victims

Two high school students and one graduate were among the victims of a shooting at a 16th birthday party in Alabama. The victims were identified as Philstavious Dowdell, Shaunkivia Smith, and Corbin Holston. Dowdell had recently received a scholarship from Jacksonville State University, where he was going to play football. Smith was a time-keeper for the Dadeville High School's basketball team and was looking forward to attending the University of Alabama this fall. The shooting took place at a birthday party celebrating Dowdell's younger sister. Police have not identified a suspect or motive for the shooting.
