Wife claims California doctor intentionally drove family off cliff in Tesla.

A Pasadena radiologist, Dharmesh Patel, has been accused by his wife of intentionally driving their Tesla off a cliff along Highway 1 in San Mateo County, in an attempt to kill his family. Patel denies the allegations and claims he moved the car to check the tire air pressure. Three witnesses said the Tesla didn’t slow down as it traveled up the dirt road and then off of the cliff. Patel has been charged with three counts of attempted murder and is being held without bail. He is scheduled to be in court for a preliminary hearing on June 12.
