Several school districts in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas in Louisiana have announced closures and changes to remote learning due to forecasted severe cold weather, with some transitioning to at-home learning and others closing completely on Tuesday, Jan. 16. The decisions were made in response to freezing conditions and the uncertainty of overnight winter weather, with some districts planning to monitor the situation and make additional announcements if needed.
