Florida Counties Under Red Flag Warning Amid Warm and Breezy Weather

A red flag warning has been issued for much of Florida due to low humidity, breezy winds, and critically dry conditions, which can increase the risk of wildfires. Several counties are also under a burn ban. As La Niña continues to affect the region, a dry and warm winter and potentially active wildfire season are expected for Florida. There are currently 42 active fires covering more than 5,000 acres across the state.
