Kilauea Volcano Erupts Again After Long Dormancy

Kilauea volcano in Hawaii has erupted again after a months-long pause, starting at approximately 12:30 a.m. Monday in a remote area of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The eruption, which is not accessible by car or trail and poses no threat to the community, has led to the closure of Maunaiki Trail and an increase in the Volcano Alert Level from "watch" to "warning."
