Pennsylvania declares drought watch, urges water conservation.

Pennsylvania has declared a drought watch for all counties in the state, urging residents and businesses to voluntarily reduce water use by 5-to-10%. The state is experiencing persistent precipitation deficits, with streams having lower flows and groundwater levels dropping. There is also an increased risk of wildfires, most of which are started by people. Eighteen public water suppliers in the eastern part of the state are asking for voluntary water conservation in their service areas.
