Wildfire State of Emergency Declared in Wisconsin and Michigan Due to Extreme Fire Danger.

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has declared a State of Emergency due to the elevated risk of wildfires affecting at least two-thirds of the state's counties. The National Weather Service has issued a "Red Flag Warning" for 41 counties due to breezy southwest winds, low humidity, and dry vegetation. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has warned that warm temperatures, low humidity, gusty winds, and exceptionally dry fuels can result in catastrophic fires. The National Guard will assist with rapidly mobilizing Black Hawk helicopters to areas of Wisconsin in most need of aerial fire suppression resources.
