Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey issued an emergency regulation and launched a website to report allegations of malpractice at gender clinics in the state. The regulation requires informed consent disclosures, full psychological or psychiatric assessments, and annual checks for "social contagion" before gender transition interventions on minors. Bailey believes that the proliferation of pediatric gender clinics in the US is driven by political and financial incentives, and that such procedures are tantamount to child abuse.
