Rep. Jamie Raskin overcomes cancer, announces remission.

Rep. Jamie Raskin announced that he is now in remission from cancer, with a 90% prognosis of no relapse, four months after first sharing his diagnosis. Raskin thanked his family, friends, constituents, and colleagues for their support during his treatment, as well as the thousands of people who reached out to him with expressions of prayer, best wishes, concern, solidarity, sympathy, and moral encouragement. He also received support from colleagues on both sides of the aisle. Raskin previously survived colon cancer and underwent chemotherapy while continuing to work on Capitol Hill.
