Mayor Adams Addresses Immigration Crisis: Love for Migrants, Concerns for New York City's Finances

New York City Mayor Eric Adams visited Mexico to promote his city and praise earlier immigrants, but also to discourage new migrants from coming, stating that the city has reached capacity. Adams faces challenges back home due to the distraction and cost of housing and feeding the 60,000 migrants currently in the city's care. He has been advocating for the federal government to do more to help and has sought to change the court decree requiring the city to house all homeless people, including migrants.
