Dozens of migrants attempted to illegally cross into the US from Mexico under the Ysleta-Zaragoza Bridge, but were held back by concertina wire and 30 members of the Texas National Guard. Despite being turned away, many of the migrants remained determined to cross the border. One 16-year-old girl was left in tears after being turned away, as she was trying to go to Dallas to be with her dad and send money back home to her family in Guatemala.
