Chinese military activity intensifies in Taiwan Strait.

The Chinese Shandong Carrier Strike Group transited the Taiwan Strait on Wednesday, following a transit through the strait by U.S. Coast Guard cutter USCGC Stratton. The carrier did not cross the median line and stayed on the Chinese side of the strait. The transit occurred two days after U.S. Secretary of State Andrew Blinken pitched Chinese leadership on reopening high-level military dialogue between Beijing and the Pentagon.
