Russian Mercenary Group Accused of Killing American Veteran in Ukraine

A US Army veteran was reportedly killed in Ukraine's Bakhmut region, according to the leader of Russia's mercenary force. Ukraine's air defenses, bolstered by US-built Patriot batteries, thwarted a barrage of Russian missiles targeting Kyiv. Russian and Ukrainian leaders have agreed to host separate peace talks with a delegation of the heads of six African countries. The UK and the Netherlands have agreed to assemble a coalition to provide Ukraine with combat air capabilities.
