Ukraine's Desperate Plea for Aid: Time is Running Out

The White House has warned that the US is running out of funds to support Ukraine in its conflict with Russia and is urging Congress to approve more money. Last year, Congress approved about $113 billion in aid to Ukraine, including $67 billion for military procurement, $27 billion for economic and civilian security assistance, and $10 billion for humanitarian needs. The Biden administration has supplied about $44.2 billion in military assistance to Ukraine since February 2020. A proposed $106 billion aid package, including $61.4 billion for Ukraine, has faced opposition from Senate Republicans and is currently tied up in discussions.
