LA police officers sue website owner over alleged bounty.

The Los Angeles Police Protective League has filed a lawsuit against an anti-police website owner, Steven Sutcliffe, for allegedly putting a "bounty" on the heads of LAPD officers by posting their photos and personal information. The release of over 9,300 LAPD officers' information has caused a furor within the department after it was requested by a police abolitionist group called Stop LAPD Spying Coalition. The lawsuit requests that the photos be removed from the website and is the first litigation connected to the release. The LAPD Chief plans to take legal action against anyone "making threats against the safety of officers."
