Legal Fallout Continues Over George Floyd's Murder and Trial.

A witness to the murder of George Floyd, Donald Williams, has filed a lawsuit against the city of Minneapolis for emotional damage caused by the incident. Williams, who testified during Derek Chauvin's trial, described the officer's actions as "extreme and outrageous." He alleges one count of assault, one count of intentional infliction of emotional distress, and one count of negligent infliction of emotional distress caused by the officers. Williams claims he suffered emotional damage watching Chauvin kneel on Floyd's neck. Chauvin was convicted of state murder and manslaughter charges and sentenced to 22-and-a-half years in prison. Thao is also serving a federal prison sentence for violating Floyd's civil rights.
